Who Can Join?

Membership is open to officers of all specialisations. Amongst our members are pilots, observers, Royal Marines, air engineers, air traffic controllers, meteorological forecasters, specialists in air-medicine, exchange officers from the RAF, AAC and foreign navies as well as officers from other branches of the Navy who served in ships having Fleet Air Arm squadrons and detachments.

Membership of the FAAOA is subject to the approval of the Committee.

Subscriptions

All members pay £40.00 a year by direct debit. Non-UK applicants without a UK bank account will be contacted about other means of paying.

Application Form

New members please complete the form below. Many of the fields are optional, but please include as much information as possible, it is used to verify your service and that you are who you claim to be. If your application is successful, only your basic contact details will be viewable in the secure members-only area and you will have the opportunity to edit and conceal some of that information.

Rejoining members Please complete the application form indicating in the "Additional Comments" box that you are rejoining. Many of the fields are optional, but please include as much information as possible, it is used to verify your service and that you are who you claim to be. If your application is successful, only your basic contact details will be viewable in the secure members-only area and you will have the opportunity to edit and conceal some of that information.

What happens next?

After you have sent your application form, you will be taken to a page explaining how your subscription is paid. Your application form will be checked to verify service details. If your application is successful, you will receive an acceptance email. Once the Direct Debit has been received by the FAAOA office, you will receive a welcome pack and the log-in details you selected will be activated so you can access all areas of the website and view the contact details of other members. Only preferred form of address, address, phone numbers and contact email are shown in the secure members area.

Login Details

Email *: Used to login to the website when your application has been approved. This will also appear in the members list in the secure members area (which can be switched off) and be used for all correspondence with FAAOA.
Password *: We advise you to make the password as strong as possible. The minimum is 6 characters. Activated when your application has been approved

Email Address Exists

This email address already exists in our database, this may be due to one of the following:

Application in Progress: A recent membership application has not yet been approved. We may be waiting for your signed direct debit mandate to be sent or processed.
Forgotten Password: If you have forgotten your password, please use the link in the login bar to request a reminder.
Reactivation Required: A dormant/lapsed membership needs reactivating, please contact the FAAOA to request the reactivation of your membership.
